I wrote last Monday about the importance of making decisions quickly, spending more time “doing” rather than “thinking about doing”. But what do you want to do? Where do you want to go? What do you want to achieve?
Before you can plan any journey you have to know your destination. You have to get out of the indecision mindset “don't know, one day, haven't thought about it, etc. excuse. etc. another excuse. etc.”, you have to get out of your comfort zone.
Spend five minutes, no more, jotting down ideas about what you want to achieve in every area of your life, if your life was perfect what would it be like? How would you feel emotionally, spiritually, how would it feel to have true peace of mind, what would your relationships be like, where would you live, how would you live, do you want to be comfortable financially or well off? Jot down your “destinations”.
A journey of a thousand mile begins with a single step and you have absolutely no chance of getting to your destination until you take the first step. So after you have your destinations planned take small steps TODAY, RIGHT NOW to begin your journey or journeys.
Remember that time passes anyway, in two years you could look back and say “I wish I shoulda, woulda, coulda, hadda done it” or you can look back and notice what you have actually achieved. Your choice. You are in charge of you. You are ultimately responsible for yourself and your own actions. You decide.
