A recent study at The University of Geneva in Switzerland discussed the different parts of the brain that operated when people were hypnotised in to believing that their hand was paralysed.
The details, published in the journal Neuron, details the experiment which really confirms that there is a massive difference between pretending to be hypnotised and actually being in hypnosis.
Hypnosis used to paralyse a limb
Very interesting stuff and really reminds all of us hypnotherapists that depth testing is pretty much essential with most therapeutic work.
Be happy,
Dave.

Can't quite see the relationship between limb paralysis and religion!
This is a fantastic post. One of the interesting points made is that hypnosis – if considered or used in an evil manner – doesn't even come close to the power of religion.
That is really scary since it seems the majority of people wouldn't make that connection and assume all religious-based thoughts to be good.
