The Woman and The Pitchfork

Once upon a time a Man met a Woman, got loved up and had a family. Even in the early years Woman used to occasionally stab Man in the foot with a pitchfork. Man didn't enjoy being stabbed in the foot with a pitchfork but shrugged it off. As time went on, Woman stabbed Man in the foot with a pitchfork more often. Man began to ask, quite reasonably, for Woman to stop. Woman said that she would stop, but didn't.

Man got stabbed in the foot more frequently. Man shouted at Woman to stop. Woman laughed, punched & kicked Man and stabbed him again in the foot with a pitchfork. Man shouted louder at woman to stop. Woman said she would stop, but didn't.

Woman kept stabbing Man in the foot with a pitchfork. Man had asked, pleaded, offered to help Woman in any & every way so that she would stop stabbing him in the foot with a pitchfork, but she continued to do it. Man now called Woman names as she stabbed him in the foot. Woman laughed and stabbed him harder and more often.

Man then saw Woman stop laughing, pick up phone, start to cry as Woman told all her friends and family that Man called her names. Woman didn't mention anything about the pitchfork to her friends and family. Man is confused. Woman carries on stabbing Man in the foot with a pitchfork, laughing as she does it now. Man is really fed up and shouts back, sometimes calling Woman names, but still she laughs and smirks as she stabs him in the foot. Then she called her friends and family, turned on the waterworks, and told them that Man called her names. Still, she never mentioned the pitchfork to anyone because then she would not get the sympathy and attention she craved. She had stabbed Man in foot with a pitchfork so many times that if she told the truth now no-one would ever believe a word she said ever again and everyone would realise that Woman had played them for complete fools.

Man's Ego wanted to tell the world about the pitchfork, “Tell everyone what a bitch she really is” screams Ego. Even Man's Karmic part wants to join in “She deserves it” screams Karma. Man's Forgiveness part says “Stop forgiving her, and give back what you get”.

Man calms Ego. Man calms Karma. Man starts forgiving again and tries his best to avoid the pitchfork. Man knows who will suffer the most if Ego gets its way so chooses to stay quiet, ignore the smirks and to rise above the dirty looks. But, Man knows that the pitchfork will only truly disappear on his youngest's 18th birthday.

In the UK on Sunday it is Father's Day. There are good dads and bad dads, good mums and bad mums. Any woman, or man, that uses children as an emotional pitchfork or pitchforks is a wrong'un.

Be happy,

Dave.
