Turn your speakers up and enjoy this clip of a hypnosis session in action. This is really what hypnosis is all about and the techniques shown here by Michel de la Vega are exactly the same as I would use with first time clients including children and pensioners. I speak in English rather than French but otherwise this is exactly what you can expect in a session of hypnotherapy with me.
Be happy,

p.s. This is, of course, nothing like what you should expect in a session with me. Michel de la Vega was/is a very skilled stage hypnotist and his skillful, artistic interpretation of his craft is fantastic, but this is not what therapeutic hypnotherapy is all about. The reason I've posted this is because some people, including those that should know better, still have no idea of what hypnotherapy is and what it entails.
For the umpteenth time, and believe me I'm happy to say these things yet again, no-one will do anything in hypnosis that they wouldn't do if they weren't in hypnosis, in other words, no-one will act on a suggestion given to them in hypnosis if they wouldn't act on it in their normal consciousness, any suggestion given to anyone in a state of hypnosis has to be acceptable to them or the suggestion will be rejected. Fact. Indisputable fact.
Also, us hypnotherapists are as different as chalk and cheese, some of us are “fluffy-wuffy cloud” types, some of us get straight to the point. There are as many different “styles” of hypnotherapy as there are “styles” of martial arts
The simple fact remains that however different we hypnotherapists are, however our approach differs, whether we talk quickly or slowly, whether we do it in one session or twenty, it is entirely possible for hypnotherapy to assist some people in a positive way, physically, spiritually, mentally and emotionally, just by using words. No drugs or potions, just words.
Shouldn't it be the case that this principle should be embraced rather than ridiculed, encouraged rather than discouraged, applauded rather than hushed up?
I'm incredibly proud to be a hypnotherapist, I love my profession & it's colourful history and in a session with me……………….all I do is talk.
Be happy people, be really, really, really happy.
