ITV Tonight – Age Before Beauty – Women and negative thoughts

The Tonight programme on ITV recently featured women who constantly have negative thoughts about themselves. It was called “Age Before Beauty” and focused on the negative thoughts women have about their bodies as they get older.

Age Before Beauty

Many people who visit me to feel better about themselves start off by saying “Dave, I hate the way I am” and my first task is to point out that when they hate the way they are, nothing happens! My role is to help people realise that when they acknowledge how they are right now, whether it be overweight, emotional, depressed or anxious, then change can happen. It's really important to notice the difference between accepting how you are and acknowledging how you are. Once you've got to the stage of putting your hands up and believing that you are worth making an effort for, in spite of how you look, think and feel right now, then the magic begins.

Think how much money you spend on make-up, clothes, shoes, gym memberships, diet clubs & DVDs & books, hairdressing appointments or tanning? Well, what about your emotional health? How would you feel if you looked good and, much more importantly, felt good about yourself?

When you feel good about yourself from the inside out so many areas of your life could improve. Imagine an increase in your self-confidence, self-esteem, self-belief and feeling of self-worth? That's my role, to help you feel that way.

When you decide to stop thinking about it and just do it, when you decide that you are worth making an effort for, then give me a call on 01923 243 500. It really is much easier than you think.

Be happy,

Dave.
